Virtual computer organisms that follow a certain logic in interacting with others in a computer simulation.

How different are two individuals in their DNA?

population ecology

The study of how populations of a species or group change over time.

sequence alignment

A collection of techniques in phylogenetic analysis which take genetic sequences and move chunks of them around until comparable bits are in the same positions in the sequence. This allows us to then carry out comparisons and take genetic distance.
